He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 2ixG. بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِلَا أُقْسِمُ بِيَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ1وَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالنَّفْسِ اللَّوَّامَةِ2أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَلَّنْ نَجْمَعَ عِظَامَهُ3بَلَىٰ قَادِرِينَ عَلَىٰ أَنْ نُسَوِّيَ بَنَانَهُ4بَلْ يُرِيدُ الْإِنْسَانُ لِيَفْجُرَ أَمَامَهُ5يَسْأَلُ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ6فَإِذَا بَرِقَ الْبَصَرُ7وَخَسَفَ الْقَمَرُ8وَجُمِعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ9يَقُولُ الْإِنْسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ أَيْنَ الْمَفَرُّ10كَلَّا لَا وَزَرَ11إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمُسْتَقَرُّ12يُنَبَّأُ الْإِنْسَانُ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِمَا قَدَّمَ وَأَخَّرَ13بَلِ الْإِنْسَانُ عَلَىٰ نَفْسِهِ بَصِيرَةٌ14وَلَوْ أَلْقَىٰ مَعَاذِيرَهُ15لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ16إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْآنَهُ17فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُ18ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُ19كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ20وَتَذَرُونَ الْآخِرَةَ21وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاضِرَةٌ22إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌ23وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ بَاسِرَةٌ24تَظُنُّ أَنْ يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌ25كَلَّا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ26وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ27وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ28وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِ29إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ30فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ31وَلَٰكِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ32ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّىٰ33أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ34ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ35أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنْسَانُ أَنْ يُتْرَكَ سُدًى36أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِنْ مَنِيٍّ يُمْنَىٰ37ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ38فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنْثَىٰ39أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَىٰ40 Resurrection • al-QiyamahIn the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful. 1. I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 2. And I swear by the blaming soul. 3. Does the human being think that We will not gather his bones? 4. Yes indeed! We are able to reconstruct his fingertips. 5. But the human being wants to deny what lies ahead of him. 6. He asks, “When is the Day of Resurrection?” 7. When vision is dazzled. 8. And the moon is eclipsed. 9. And the sun and the moon are joined together. 10. On that Day, man will say, “Where is the escape?” 11. No indeed! There is no refuge. 12. To your Lord on that Day is the settlement. 13. On that Day, man will be informed of what he put forward, and what he left behind. 14. And man will be evidence against himself. 15. Even as he presents his excuses. 16. Do not move your tongue with it, to hurry on with it. 17. Upon Us are its collection and its recitation. 18. Then, when We have recited it, follow its recitation. 19. Then upon Us is its explanation. 20. Alas! But you love the Fleeting. 21. And you disregard the Hereafter. 22. Faces on that Day will be radiant. 23. Looking towards their Lord. 24. And faces on that Day will be gloomy. 25. Realizing that a back-breaker has befallen them. 26. Indeed, when it has reached the collarbones. 27. And it is said, “Who is the healer?” 28. And he realizes that it is the parting. 29. And the leg is entwined with the leg. 30. To your Lord on that Day is the drive. 31. He neither believed nor prayed. 32. But he denied and turned away. 33. Then he went to his family, walking proudly. 34. So nearer to you! And nearer! 35. Then again Nearer to you! And nearer! 36. Does the human being think that he will be left without purpose? 37. Was he not a fertilized egg from ejaculated semen? 38. Then he became a clot. And He created and proportioned? 39. And He made of him the two sexes the male, and the female? 40.
